A Christmas party to remember

On Saturday 9 December we joined forces with three other fantastic children’s cancer charities to host a special Christmas party for the children of Ward 86 at The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

It was a truly wonderful day, not only because it gave the children and their families some time away from the ward to create some special memories together. But also because it demonstrated the kindness of so many people in coming together and volunteering their time, support and money to make this event a success.

From the venue space, which was kindly donated by Bruntwood SciTech, to the catering donating by The Manchester Catering Company and Zouks, to the entertainment from Manchester Princess Parties  and the wonderful music from the Royal Northern College of Music courtesy of Will and Harry.

We had sweet treats galore from Swizzels and Martin’s Craft Bakery and lots of raffle and tombola prizes thanks to many companies and individuals from across the region.

Last but by no means least were the fantastic volunteers. We had 34-strong team of volunteers from across the four hosting charities who did an amazing job to create this special event.

Our huge thanks to everyone who came along and everyone who helped make the day happen. Merry Christmas!
