Rosie's Friends

Virtual pub quiz

You don’t need a pub to hold a pub quiz! During the coronavirus lockdown, lots of people are connecting with friends, family and colleagues by host virtual pub quizzes.

Using platforms like Zoom or House Party, all you need to do is get some quiz questions together (there are lots of free questions and answer online), set your date and time, and ask friends and family to donate to take part.

Each household can bring a round of questions to share the load – from picture rounds to guess the song. Best of all it’s a great way to fundraise for childhood cancer too. Since the COVID-19 pandemic struck, all attention has been focussed on the need to beat it.  But up and down the country, many parents are battling, not just this virus, but the fear of losing a child to cancer. You could make a big difference to these families but doing some fundraising during the lockdown.

Simply ask each participant to donate to enter the quiz. Choose the donation platform that works best for you. Friends of Rosie is set up on PayPal, Virgin Money Giving and Facebook fundraisers. Or you could transfer the donations to one person and do a bank transfer or send a cheque payment. Just get in touch if you need any help.

Most of all, try not to take it too seriously and remember to have fun!
