Rosie's Friends

Sober October for Jo and Lee

Huge thanks to Jo Richardson and Lee Wood who have chosen to do a Sober October in support of childhood cancer research.

Says Jo, “As everyone knows we very much enjoy a drink or ten, but we’ve decided to do Sober October to raise money for the charity Friends of Rosie.

“My brother, Dan, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leaukemia when he was three years old and was treated at The Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. During his time there he met a little girl named Rosie Larkin, who was being treated for cancer. Rosie’s parents set up Friends of Rosie in her honour.

“Whilst Dan’s treatment was successful, Rosie sadly lost her battle with cancer in 1991. Please support us in our Sober October and help us to raise money for this charity that is very close to our hearts.”
