Brownie superheroes raise £250!

Eight year old Evie’s superhero art fundraiser has raised a fantastic £250 for children’s cancer research thanks to her group of Brownie superheroes.

There was a total of 18 entries from Evie’s Brownie group, the 5th Debdale (St George’s) Brownies, with each design depicting a superhero.

Evie drew the competition and announced the winners last week. And here there are:

Winner: Lyla Berry Age 8 (8-10 category)
Winner: Jessica Smith Age 7 (4-7 category)
Runner up: Paige Thomas Age 9 ( 8-10 category)
Runner Up: Hermione Leevy Hardman Age 5 (4-7 category)

Evie set up the fundraiser in recognition of our Young Ambassador, Ruth Grace, as well as working towards her Brownie Charity Badge.

Our huge thanks go to Evie and everyone who entered the competition and donated to support children’s cancer research. We couldn’t do what we do, getting new research ideas off the ground, without your help. Thank you.

Here’s a montage of all the other super entries:
